Indonesia: Life at sea

On December 26, 2004, Syamsuddin, 45, was fishing on the Indian Ocean when he felt his boat start to shake. He turned off the engine and waited. But nothing happened.  

What he didn't know at the time was a 9.0 earthquake had just triggered killer waves that would pass quietly underneath his boat and take the lives of his entire family within the hour.  

When he returned to his village of Lambada Lhok, Indonesia, he found his newly built home destroyed. He never found the bodies of his wife, three sons and two daughters.
